LEAGUE HISTORY

The Dooglas Blitzball League was founded in 2015 in Dane, Wisconsin. 2015 was a weird year for the league as technically, there was only one game—a game with our next-door neighbors. 2016 through 2017 we went through a little period of no games and no records. However, in 2018, games were recorded. In a late-night August game Dane at the famous Dooglas Field. A game was played between two teams with the captains Isaac Schultz and William Eckstein. They played a game that started around 8:15 PM and ended around 10:30 PM, this was a game that we don't have many records on, however, the game was one of the most memorable games in the history of the league. In 2019, two players were in the league, William Eckstein and Jayce Kolinski. William headlines his powerful Dooglas Fighting Doogies, Jayce leading his Unmistakable Outlaws. The two teams played five games, William, winning three of the two games while tossing a no-hitter in game 3.

After the 2019 season, the league played one game in 2020 between the Unmistakable Outlaws and the Dooglas Fighting Doogies. After that first game in March, the league shut down due to the start of COVID-19. Governor Tony Evers issued a lockdown which caused the league to be put on hold. The Unmistakeable Outlaws and the famed Dooglas Field were left as the league picked up and moved 15 miles east to Windsor, Wisconsin. The league was going to disband for good, however, an agreement was made to keep the league going and the league was restored. The Dooglas Fighting Doogies stayed, and the new Team Chrisinger Millards were added to the league. Captain Spencer Chrisinger led the Millards. Spencer's family, the Chrisinger family has won 3 straight Grand Honor Awards and owns the famous Chrisinger Field.

In 2022, the league expanded once again with the Lodi Trojans, who then changed their name to the Fighting Cocks, captained by Corbin Schilling. The pre-season opened up with a game in Lodi, Wisconsin. The Dooglas Fighting Doogies went to Lodi and shut down the then Trojans, 18-7. With the regular season starting, the Doogies VS Millards Opening Day Game is still the tradition that still stands. The 2022 Opening Day game was held at Fireman's Park in Windsor, Wisconsin. Cory Chrisinger was honored at the game by throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. With that, the 2022 season was underway with a 12-1 dominant Fighting Doogies win! The league played 17 games that season. The 2022 season was probably the year for the most improvement in the league, hands down! We played the first night game in league history on June 2nd starting at 8:40 PM! By July, the league had invested in new bases, a new backstop, and a rollout fence! on August 16th the league had fan appreciation night. 30 fans attended, fresh food off of the grill, an amazing game, and a walk-off thriller on a home run by Spencer Chrisinger! That same night, the Dooglas Blitzball League was made official by Blitzball! This marked a HUGE step in the process that made the league what it is today! By becoming official we got to fortunately have our content discovered by many more people! The league grew so much in 2022 and it was capped off by the Doogies winning the World Series in the third and final game of the World Series.

2023, what a season! After the extremely successful 2022 season, the Dooglas Blitzball League made another advancement in making the league better! Jerseys were unveiled for the 2023 season! The new threads made the players and teams way more flashy and professional. The teams also expanded in 2023! Adding the Storyhill Stompers from Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the replacement of the Lodi Fighting Cocks added for more competition. The league played fewer games however they were much better videos than previous ones in 2022. A speed limit was made to stay on par with the professional leagues. We also traveled to Columbia, Missouri with the Stompers to play in the 2023 Columns Classic Blitzball Tournament. The travel team made great strides as they lost to the tournament champions, Gainesville Blitzball. The Stompers made it to the championship but could not hold off the Doogies as they won the title again.

2024, the year the league turned into a powerhouse. The league added a free agent from COMO Blitzball in Missouri. DJ Baker, a former Steamroller, added some offense to the league and made some differences on the mound. The season opened up with the signature Millards VS Doogies Opening Day Classic on February 25th, it was 50 degrees and we took advantage of the beautiful day. This extravagant game lasted into extra innings! The contest was wrapped up by a William Eckstein walk-off home run. The most unlikely thing about this home run was the fact that William was on a scooter with a boot on his right foot, as he had ankle surgery three weeks before the game. The next game didn't come until June, as we did not see weather good enough to play. The Stompers traveled to Windsor to play the Doogies, where Alex Champeny had a record-breaking game with five home runs in one game! The Stompers would grab one of two of their regular season wins in a six-to-four win over the Doogies. The teams duked it out for six more regular season games, and one championship game between the Doogies and Stompers again. The Stompers once again used their unstoppable powerful offense to blow out the Doogies seven to one, and grab their first league title! Now the Dooglas Blitzball League didn't just stay local in 2024, we traveled with the Stompers to Swisher, Iowa to compete in the 2024 Swisher Showdown as well as the 2024 Little Cubs Field Tournament in Freeport, Illinois. In both tournaments the Stompers made quarterfinal appearances, however dropping both of those games. The 2024 season saw exceptional growth on social media platforms and exceeded content expectations. Some players from the Dooglas Blitzball League also went and joined the Story Hill Captains League and played on a team called the Conductors. The team consisted of William Eckstein (captain), Liam Bisco, DJ Baker, Spencer Chrisinger, and Isaac Schultz. The Conductors won the Story Hill Captains League in the regular season and the championship, posting a 4-0-1 record and a championship.
